 While I  have no personal experience, I can share some notable examples of medical mysteries that  doctors in real life initially avoided. One such case concerns a young woman who was misdiagnosed multiple times before doctors discovered the root cause of her symptoms. She had been suffering from fatigue, joint pain, and mysterious fevers for months. Despite multiple visits to specialists, doctors diagnosed her with illnesses such as fibromyalgia, depression, and even a viral infection. However, the correct diagnosis was not made until much later, when doctors discovered that her symptoms suggested lupus . Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease that can be difficult to diagnose because it resembles other illnesses.  This case shows how autoimmune diseases like lupus and multiple sclerosis are often  medical mysteries.
